Footwear products that are intentionally designed to avoid slippery terrain typically feature bulky bodies and overly technical aesthetics, but Jordan Brand’s ongoing Winterized flips the script by helping you fly and protect at the same time. We’ve seen this treatment land on various silhouettes such as the Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 14, and now the Air Jordan 3 is getting its moment to be beefed up with weather-resistant materials.
This next installment strays from the usual fabrics we’re used to seeing on the Tinker Hatfield-designed offering. Tumbled leather sidewalls are replaced with a water-resistant suede material that’s drowned in “Archaeo Brown” while overlays replace the usual cement patterns with intricate Sashiko stitching. Subtle hints of dusty rose touch the mudguards and perforated panels near the throat and buttresses while a “Light Bordeaux” hue spills over the lower throat and collars.
Take a first look at the pair above and note that early reports are for an October 8, 2022 release for Nike and other affiliated retailers. The retail price is set at 210 USD.
For other sneaker news, the Air Jordan 11 CMFT Low “Space Jam” has been unveiled.
