Andrew Wiggins’ thundering jam on Luka Doncic’s playoff revival boost

The Golden State Warriors are just one win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the sixth time in the past eight years, but the first since the 2018-19 season. They beat the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals 109-100 on Sunday, taking a 3-0 series lead. As a reminder, no team in NBA history has ever come back to win a series while trailing three games to nil.

Midway through the 4th quarter with the game still in doubt, Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins threw one of the dirtiest, sickest, and most insulting jams you’ll ever see. To make things even better for Golden State, he did it against Mavs superstar Luka Doncic. Although it was initially called an offensive foul, the play would be reviewed and called off.

With the basket, Wiggins hit the plateau of 20 points and 10 rebounds for the first time in his playoff career.

He would eventually finish the game with 27 points, 11 rebounds and three of 11 assists on 20 shooting. Following this jam, the Warriors bench was energized. Wiggins would throw a few more dunks in what was a fantastic game for the Warriors veteran.

Wiggins has been integral to Golden State’s success this year. The longtime Minnesota Timberwolves small forward has played a smaller role since joining in 2019. But his importance has only grown over time. While Klay Thompson has struggled with numerous injuries over the past two seasons, Golden State needed a winger who could outdo himself. That player was Wiggins.

here comes the dunk you searched.

Golden State will seek the Mavs sweep on Tuesday night in Dallas.
