Chinatown Market x Converse Jeff Hamilton NBA Collection

Chinatown Market and Converse have teamed up for a new NBA capsule inspired by designer Jeff Hamilton’s famous NBA Championship jackets. Highlighting the jackets Hamilton made for the 2002 Los Angeles Lakers and the 1998 Chicago Bulls – two legendary teams that had just completed the ever-illusory “three-round” championship – through the Chuck 70 and Pro Leather, the collection is colorful compilation of the history of hoops.

Hamilton’s 2002 Lakers jacket combined the Lake Show’s signature purple and gold with palm trees and other City of Angels-inspired graphics, a fluid ethos that translates in two different ways to the shoes it has. inspired. The Chuck 70 Hi is done in light blue with a black LA skyline and Walk of Fame-style star graphics, while the Pro Leather uses an abundance of royal purple with gold accents and its own signature palm hits. Lakers fans will surely remember that the jacket itself was once worn by the late great Kobe Bryant.

At the other end, the Bulls-inspired shoes offer a more austere Windy City mix of black and red to replicate a Hamilton-designed jacket once worn by Michael Jordan. The Chuck 70 Hi offers bold skyline detailing and digital prints, with the Pro Leather adding Bulls patches, bright blue detailing and even green embroidered Laurel Wreaths around the toe and on the heel.

The Chinatown Market x Converse x NBA collection will hit the Chinatown Market online store on March 6, then hit global retailers like size? March 12.
