Converse’s Chuck 70 Hi “Sunflower Trek” has a marbled sole

Converse’s Chuck 70 Hi has undergone too many transformations to name them, but it’s always the classics (or the most slightly reworked ones) that remain the mainstays of our collection – and this ‘Sunflower Trek’ version is no exception to that rule. .

“Sunflower” yellow canvas makes up the upper, crossing its body with the iconic Converse All Star roundel in white and black leather on the medial collar, contrasting white stitching and white laces. As expected, a traditional silver eyelet layout runs up the eye tab, while a white bumper contrasts with a black racing stripe, black license plate and white midsole.

However, this is where the expected ends, and a welcome touch of the unexpected can be found. A new trek outsole extends from the midsole, covered in a multicolored marbled pattern including hints of bluish gray, white, red, yellow and black. The marbled finish gives a camouflaged look, but when you flip the shoe over its sole profile, you can see it’s a much more artistic finish, like stepping into paint.

Sturdy micro-toothed caps are found at the toe and heel of the outsole, while the midsection is deeply ridged and toothed to give the Chuck 70 Hi height and structure.

Converse’s Chuck 70 Hi “Sunflower Trek” retails for €140 (approximately $167) and can be purchased from Sivasdescalzo now.
