Joe Jonas has returned to his Disney roots — albeit in surprise form — while looking sharply dressed on Instagram. The musician filmed a new video on the social media app with his band, DNCE, in their ongoing series of fan-voted song covers. The last of the trio? A cover of Hilary Duff’s 2003 song “Come Clean” from her hit album “Metamorphosis”.
Singing the song acoustically using an iPhone, guitar and Kleenex box, Jonas serenaded viewers in a Instagram reel while wearing shiny white jeans and a matching tank top. Giving the staple pieces a groovy twist was a light blue shirt jacket, complete with circular lettering and patches, and a classic black leather watch. Jonas finished his outfit with a pearl necklace and rose-tinted sunglasses.
“LET THE RAIN FALL DOWN” Jonas captioned the video, echoing the song’s chorus. “WE COME CLEAN @hilaryduff”
The song, which DNCE teased in a video on Monday, was backed by Duff, who commented “Ooo yeah. Tell ’em k.
Duff also voiced his support for the band’s full cover, proclaiming it “Angelique…. More slaps.
As for footwear, Jonas donned a pair of spiky black Air Jordan sneakers. With suede lace-up uppers, rounded toes, and white outsoles, the ensemble provided a contrast against the lighter tones of her outfit while coordinating with her black and white accents. It’s also Jonas’ last pointy shoe moment after he was spotted in a set of buckled loafers with wife Sophie Turner in May.
Sneakers like Jonas’s are a year-round trend, due to their versatility and classic nature. Monochromatic leather and suede pairs are popular due to their ability to be worn with a range of men’s casual or dressy outfits, such as new styles from Koio, Cariuma and Common Projects.
Jonas’ shoe style is free-spirited and bold, just like his wardrobe. The “Who’s In Your Head” singer’s shoes on the red carpet often consist of monochromatic or colorful sneakers from various brands, including Converse, Off-White and New Balance. On the red carpet, oxfords and dark boots are often her essentials. The star has also served as a campaign star for Guess and Diesel, as well as collaborating on a shiny version of Koio’s Retro Runner sneakers with the brand in 2021.
