“I really wish I could have been there to meet and talk to the kids, but I hope this surprise made them smile and encouraged them to stay strong,” Doncic said of the gesture, according to the Dallas Morning News‘ Brad Townsend. “I just want all the kids and parents to know that I am thinking of them!”
In addition to Jordan sportswear, each patient received a pizza donated by the double All-Star.
Doncic was an immediate hit in Dallas, winning the 2018-19 Rookie of the Year award. The dynamic playmaker will become an even bigger fixture in the region after signing a five-year extension of $ 207.1 million this offseason.
