Cheap, pocket-friendly sneakers and ‘Ranbir Kapoor’ seem to be incongruous – they don’t sit well in a sentence next to each other.
Here is a man who has the best sneakers in the worldand who is highly revered among indian sneakerheads for his collection, and his taste for sneakers.
The guy with the sneakers is so enthralled that he dropped Rs 5.8 Lakhs on a limited edition pair of sneakers. Heck, he even has a guy, whose job it is to buy him sneakers, as soon as they hit the market.
So clearly, when he’s wearing something that mere mortals like us can afford, it’s a bit of a surprise. Pleasant, but still surprising.
Recently, Ranbir and Alia were spotted in Mumbai, visiting Ranbir’s mother. While Alia was dressed in a simple and dark salwar ensemble, Ranbir had dressed in a rather dope way, almost like a hip-hop artist exploding the charts.
Ranbir was seen wearing a rather dope outfit, which consisted of a basic white-colored t-shirt, a pair of bleached and distressed jeans, and a pair of dope sneakers.
We really love how Ranbir paired her jeans with a seemingly basic tee. The distressed and bleached denims are from Italian sportswear makers, Dsquared2, and they sell for over $650, or around 50,000 rupees.
We also love the way he accessorized his outfit. There’s this New York Yankee blue-colored cao, and this dope-looking face mask he’s got. He also wears his trusty Rolex Sky-Dweller, one of his favorite watches.
For those interested in the watch, it has a retail price of around Rs 10.67 Lakhs, but be prepared to shell out more, as this is a Rolex, and putting the watch on is next to impossible. hand over it, without getting into some sort of a waiting list.
Then there are the sneakers that Ranbir wears. Given his fascination with limited-edition sneakers and his past wearing some of the most expensive pairs, one would imagine that the pair he wears would be as expensive as a piece of land on the moon. Well, we would be wrong.
Ranbir is wearing Nike’s Air Jordan 1 Mid Banned, a pair of sneakers that are actually selling in India for less than Rs 10,000. The sneakers look as expensive as some of the classic old Air Jordan 1s, which are selling between 50,000 and 70,000 rupees, but with some minute details.
The reason why they are so cheap is because this is a refreshed sneaker line, which launched in 2020. Still, you get the best quality of leather for the upper and all the accents and swooshes. The sole is made of a mixture of rubber and polyester.
Although the sneakers retail for Rs 9,995, you can buy them on a number of e-commerce platforms for much cheaper, provided you know where to look.
All in all, it’s a nice dapper outfit that Ranbir has there, especially the jeans and the sneakers. Well done, man, seriously.
