The holiday season is over in San Antonio, but Dejounte Murray is giving Spurs fans a reason to keep the party going. The All-Star point guard teased an unreleased pair of New Balance “Neon Lights” basketball shoes washed in San Antonio’s Fiesta aesthetic this week.

Murray shared the preview of the sneakers in a tweet on Thursday, May 5. He rallied his fans to retweet the post to push New Balance to drop the colorway. The shoes appear to be part of the brand’s TWO WXY v2 Neon Lights collection which launched on May 27. Prior to Murray’s new tweet, fans had seen darker versions of the shoes.

In the new photo, a pair of white shoes sit with his alternate Fiesta jersey. The shoe’s sidewall and heel plate are a wave of pink, orange, and aqua rubber. The colors are also part of the toe skin design and a New Balance “N” on the side. The tongues of the shoes feature a logo consisting of the San Antonio skyline and “DJM5”, Murray’s initial and jersey number.

While New Balance hasn’t said whether the brighter colorway will be part of the basketball collection, which also includes former Spurs player Kawhi Leonard and Chicago Bulls star Zach Lavine, Spurs fans are eager. to add the sneakers to their collection.

Murray’s endorsement deal with New Balance became official in November. Since then, the shoe company has released a number of designs inspired by the player and Spurs. In March 2021, another Fiesta design sold out in less than a day.
