Tyler, designer Golf Wang has announced the next drop in the ongoing creative partnership with Converse. The two brands have teamed up to offer the Chuck 70 sneaker in two new colors. On Friday, March 4 at 10 a.m. ET, fans of the rapper, the shoes, or both will have the option to purchase the shoes in Topaz Blue or Pink Dogwood in a modern python print.

According to Sneaker News, the new take on the classic shoes elevates the sneakers with a python snakeskin material first used in the rapper’s sneaker collection. The Python Chuck 70 also features color-matched opaque rubber, metallic silver eyelets, and a retail price of $120 a pair.

Although the 30-year-old is a Grammy-winning rapper, his fashion collaborations aren’t just brand partnerships with his name and image attached to selling a product. Tyler, the designer shared his interest in fashion and design and frequently used his personal style as a form of self-expression and an extension of his art. He has designed and sold apparel, footwear and accessories with Odd Future, as well as Golf Wang and Golf Le Fleur.

“I never liked creating products Tyler, the creator. I never liked that. I never liked putting my face on merch. I probably did it two or three times,” shared the rapper “EARFQUAKE” with Complex in June 2021. He continued, “But when people call Golf Wang merch, it’s like it’s not merch merch. It doesn’t say Tyler, the creator about everything. These are real clothes. It’s a store. It ran like a line. Don’t call it merchandising.

As the California native continues to expand her fashion empire, her musical success continues to soar to new heights. With this victory, it would be his second participation in the category.

The new Chuck 70 sneaker in Topaz Blue and Pink Dogwood is available Friday through the Converse website and global retailers.
