Class of 2023 four-star forward TJ Power is preparing to move forward with his signing over the summer. The Massachusetts native is quickly becoming a hot target for multiple programs, including UNC, and now he’s open to hosting tours.
The 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward told Rivals reporter Rob Cassidy he wants to start arranging visits here after the Nike Peach Jam. And UNC might get one soon enough:
There are few prospects hotter in America than the BABC Grassroots Program’s 2023 TJ Power Prospect. The 6-foot-7 forward has caught the eye of Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA, Ohio State and others this summer. He plans to look into his new offers in the coming weeks and reassess where his recruiting is at.
“I told everyone that I would start arranging tours when I got back [from Peach Jam],” Power said on Friday. “They give me space for now. When I get home, I’ll schedule visits.
The bad news about this quote is that UNC was not mentioned specifically in terms of the visit, while Duke and Kansas were. However, with UNC pushing for him lately, it would be shocking not to see them get a visit.
Regardless, things are certainly heating up for Power in his recruiting and if UNC wants to attempt to add him to their Class of 2023, they appear to have some work to do.
