■ A Summer of Magic: Harry Potter Dome Theater Experience | August 12
Where: place of exploration
Exploration Place brings the world of Harry Potter to Wichita! Each week our Wizarding and Muggle guests will watch a film from the series on the dome screen with booming surround sound. Before the show, take part in themed and interactive classes offered by a variety of Hogsmeade shops and magical places. Butterbeer will flow freely and Muggle Artifacts can be brought home.

Celebrate the end of summer at Art Together: The Stories We Share on August 13 at Mark Arts. Join us at 10am for Storytime in the Gallery in partnership with the Storytime Village surrounded by energizing abstract art. Create your own “selfie” using symbols that represent who you are. Then, learn about the preservation of tribal culture with an 11 a.m. educational performance by Wichita War Dancer at Stickwork, our site-specific sculpture adjacent to the gallery’s outdoor terrace. The tall grass is back, and the event that really binds your year is back! Photo Booth, White Russians, pizza buffet, briefcase raffle, and more, all in support of the Tallgrass Film Association.
■ River City Pipes and Drums Band | August 13
Where: Large Arbor
River City Pipes & Drums invites you to join us at the Big Arbor Restaurant and Venue as we celebrate 8 years together as a band. This informal ‘pub night’ event will feature traditional Scottish bagpipe music, a Scottish-themed pub quiz with prizes and special guests. Enjoy one of Big Arbor’s burgers and play pool tables or video games. Admission is free for this family event, while the group will gratefully accept donations.
